With acres upon acres of unspoiled forests, you will be able to unleash your sense of adventure as you trek through the packed snow on one of Muskoka`s many snowshoe trails. Not only did we start the ice skating trail trend, we perfected it. Check out these amazing skating trails with their own unique twist to this aged Canadian pastime. Enjoy the 1.3km Arrowhead Skating Trail winds through the thick Muskoka forest. Skate the 1.2 km Cranberry Ice Trail over the frozen cranberry beds. The Memorial Park Winter Village features an ice skating trail that wraps around the park in Bracebridge. The 200m Hanna Park Skating Trail features a packed walking trails right beside it perfect for parents to follow along with there little ones. An ice skating rink is available on the property at Blue Water Acres just a short walk from your cottage, plus at the Mew Lake Campground in Algonquin Provincial Park.

The thrill of the arctic and one of the great Canadian winter experiences is ready for you to try in Muskoka. Mush through the beautiful Muskoka wilderness behind you team of dogs at North Ridge Ranch. Tobogganing is the quintessential winter experience in Canada. The thrill of the downhill and the cold breeze on your face as you whiz by your surroundings. Arrowhead Provincial Park has a tubing hill safe for all ages and Kerr Park in Bracebridge has a designated sliding hill.

A very popular winter activity in Muskoka, ice fishing combines the elements of a Canadian winter, with the sport of fishing. Throughout the winter, Muskoka’s lakes are dotted with ice fishing huts as anglers make their way out onto the frozen lakes to reel in the big one! New to the sport?
